Participate in Special Events The Walk to Help Children with Dyslexia. In October 2005 we
organized a benefit walkathon at 46 Learning Centers and 6 Valleys throughout 15 states.
The walks varied in length from three to five miles. Many state and local governments
officially designated October as the "Month to Overcome Dyslexia," formally
acknowledging the work we do at the Learning Centers and supporting the Walk events to
help raise funds for the Centers. If you are interested in joining this pledge drive, you
can contact your local Learning Center
or register at the website www.dyslexiawalk.org. This October the learning centers again look forward to staging a series of events which will now include both walks and runs.

The Boston Marathon. Join our team and run this famous 26-mile marathon to benefit the Children's Learning Centers. Each year we are granted a number of charitable entries (runners who do not have to qualify) in the Boston Marathon. Each runner on our team is asked to raise $5,000 to sponsor a child at a Learning Center of his or her choice, and the community of the selected Center gets behind this runner to help raise money. If you are interested in joining this challenge, please contact your local Children's Learning Center, or Gardner C. (Cy) Sconyers, corporate secretary, at 781-862-8518.
